An internal system for managing properties
Properties, transactions and financial results in one working system.
A local web application replaces scattered spreadsheets, bringing together properties, income, expenses, change history and profitability.
- A financial picture for every property
- Transactions and expenses in one place

When spreadsheets were no longer enough
- Properties and transactions were tracked in spreadsheets.
- Financial information was spread across several records.
- Changes were difficult to track.
- Data had to be compiled manually to check a property's profitability.
- As transaction volumes grew, the spreadsheet became less useful for daily work.
The problem was no longer a lack of data: spreadsheets had stopped being a practical system for everyday work.

A local application built around the actual process
Instead of adding complexity to existing spreadsheets, we built a dedicated system linking properties, transactions and financial metrics.

Changes leave a trace
The system retains a change history so users can see what was changed and understand the context of a transaction.
Runs locally
The application runs on a work computer and uses a local database. Everyday use does not require a separate cloud service.

- Local database
This architecture suited the project: data stays within the working environment and the system does not depend on an external service.
